Don't get me wrong, it's really fun, but it's not 100% realistic (talking about both games here). You don't have to be very careful on the brakes going into a corner, and you don't have to be super careful with the throttle coming out of the corner either. I personally like them, but they're not super challenging, even with all assists turned off. They're very similar in both games, as both are from the same devs. Long answer: The community is a bit split about how realistic the physics are. Short answer: Do you like MotoGP (as a sports league, IRL)? Then buy MotoGP. Hi there! I'm a little late to the party, but here's my 2 cents anyway. From the things I ask and say, would I feel like I'm getting an action packed racing game buying motogp and pretending I'm a doctor rossi or a Marc marquez or would I be let down by riding all sorts of bikes on random circuits that aren't wholly GP? It's all about feeling excitement from handling something that's difficult, correctly. I heard the VR GP is meant to be challenging, but would ride be more or less challenging? Or would Moto17 be a better title?ĭo factors of tyre wear differentiate between the two games, fuel usage?ĭoes MotoGP have qualifying, practise etc? Does it feel realistic or immersive?ĭoes ride 2 have different modes of playing on circuits? Do any of the circuits have varying dips and humps on ride 2? - Do they feel nice to race on? I understand ride 2 isn't a track game yes, but is it comparable to what I'm in looking for the sense of handling a sports bike or would it be better if I pick a MotoGP title?

It's got to be challenging, nothing leisurely, I want to be flapping on the controller trying to get bikes around corners and feel good about the cleaness of the racing lines and the intense battles fighting closely for podium places. I love track racing, but only if it handles well.

I can't find an actual post debating which game to buy. I'll explain what I'm looking for, because I understand that there seems to be quite big differences and also minor differences. Which game should I buy? - I am leaning toward motogp but some people really put it down and it puts me off buying it so.
